Many times, it ask you to lower the bar for three seconds. Guess what? Most people don’t count; they just guess at speed. Then they pick a weight based off thinking, “oh yeah, this feels like it’ll go slow enough.” However, that speed will affect how much weight you can use for your reps. Slow it down too much and you won’t get the same amount of load. It’s law of physiology and physics.

Why Slow Movements Mean Less Weight
