People who need to consume more energy should choose fruits that is high in energy density.

Additionally, consuming fruit with protein or fat product can change how the body process the fruit. For instance, if an individual consumes apple slice with almond butter, the fat in the almond butter will slow the sugar content of the fruit from the apple, preventing a crash in energy later in the day. The time of year that the fruit is consumed can provide the body with a high concentration of vitamin.

Fruit that is harvested at the peak of the growing season contain more vitamins than fruits that is out of season. A variety of fruit diet ensures that the body receives all of the vitamins it need. For instance, fruits such as avocado is high in energy because of the healthy fat in the fruit.

Depending upon the energy that the body need, individuals can choose different type of fruit to consume.
